Spa & alternative herbal treatments - San Juan del Lago ECO RV Park & Community is located in the “Ruta de la Salud” (Route of Health), a pre-Hispanic area that brought elite members of the ruling indigenous empires throughout Mexico, who were seeking healing for their illness. The area became famous for its healing thermal mud and water, and developed some of the ancient herbal medicine knowledge that attracted many people for centuries.
Today we can benefit from this knowledge and can find alternative herbal treatments for various diseases. We use thermal water and mud to provide wellness spa and beauty treatments.

Hot Stone Therapy: $700 pesos
Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness & increases circulation & metabolism. Each ½ hour hot stone massage therapy session promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body.
Our professional massage therapists also incorporate a customized massage, with the use of hot stones, which offers enhanced benefits.
The premise behind hot stone massage therapy is that the direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to their deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body. The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.
Benefits of Hot Stones therapy:
- Provides relief from pain associated with fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome & other chronic conditions
- Decreases pain & muscle spasms, chronic stress & tension
- Increases flexibility in joints, aiding in easier mobility. Relieves pain & tension created by strained & contracted muscles.
Thai Massage $400 pesos
Thai Massage is an ancient healing system combining acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. This type of massage is over 2500 years old. It is done on the floor, and it combines gentle rhythmic compressions through the energy zones called zen, in addition to yoga positions.
Reflexology Foot Massage: $350 pesos. The underlying theory behind reflexology is that "reflex" areas on the feet and hands correspond to specific organs, glands, & other parts of the body. Practitioners believe that applying pressure to these reflex areas can promote health in the corresponding organs through energetic pathways.
Benefits of Reflexology:
- Tranquility and Relaxation
- Improved Circulation and Cleansing
- Digestive Health
- Energy and Rejuvenation
- Pain Relief
- Reduces Anxiety
- Immunity Enhancement
Shiatsu Massage: $400 pesos
Shiatsu is a form of Japanese acupressure, which means "pressure of the fingers". The treatment is done on the floor and pressure is applied in different parts of the body all along the energy points to balance the chi. Breathing exercises are key to obtain all the benefits of the massage.
